Scrypt Named One of the Best Places to Work in Central Texas by Austin Business Journal
Scrypt lands amongst 19 other contenders in the small company category
AUSTIN, TX (May 21, 2015) — Scrypt announced today that it has been named as one of the best companies to work for in Central Texas by the Austin Business Journal’s Best Places to Work list. Scrypt, with 40 employees, lands within the small Best Places to Work category.

Companies from Central Texas were are encouraged to nominate themselves for the award by enduring a two-step nomination process that asks for feedback on company culture and company perks from every single employee. Open seating (including the CEO), camaraderie, an encouraging work environment that cultivates growth and learning opportunities more than the average workplace were listed as the top Scrypt work culture descriptors. Employees also listed the top company perks at Scrypt which include, healthy snacks and drinks every day, an exercise bicycle w/ a laptop stand, working from home, group outings and participation in philanthropic fundraising events.
Scrypt has experienced significant growth within the last year, having merged with San Diego-based Axacore. In the last twelve months, they have seen significant revenue growth, with much more forecasted meaning they will be increasing headcount by 12-15 before year end across different departments.
The Best Places to Work in Central Texas award is given to 20 businesses in each category (micro, small, medium and large) each year. The exact ranking will be unveiled at the 2015 Best Places to Work luncheon, which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Austin. This is the first time Scrypt has been named to the ABJ list.
